The State Software Development Team (SSDT) is seeking a programmer to assist in the development of applications for government entities.  Experience and knowledge of the following technologies are desired:
 

  • Java & Groovy

  • Spring Framework (IOC/DI, Aspects, Events)

  • Hibernate/JPA & SQL

  • Event Driven Architectures

  • Vaadin Framework

  • Docker
     

The SSDT is a dynamic team of developers who follow Agile practices including Sprints, Code Reviews, CI, CD, automated unit and functional testing.

The individual will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the maintenance, development, and testing of applications.

  • Assisting with end-user support of the applications.

  • Assisting in the creation of documentation of software and procedures.

The individual will provide fiscal services to local school districts, specifically on-site assistance in payroll, accounts receivable and account payable using software such as State Software (Classic and Redesign), eFinance Plus and various other software packages that districts may use. This position will report to both the Executive Director and the Fiscal Services Coordinator and will work closely with both the State Software Development Team and the NWOCA Fiscal Staff. ...

The individual will provide fiscal services to local school districts, specifically on-site assistance in payroll, accounts receivable and account payable using software such as State Software (Classic and Redesign), eFinance Plus and various other software packages that districts may use. This position will report to both the Executive Director and the Fiscal Services Coordinator and will work closely with both the State Software Development Team and the NWOCA Fiscal Staff.

A successful candidate must possess the following:

  • Experience in a district, ESC, or other fiscal office is preferred.

  • Maintain a current working knowledge of all fiscal-related services and software offered by the NWOCA program and assists users in making optimal usage of these services.

  • Provide member districts with on-site assistance in the performance of fiscal-related services as assigned.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of current school district business office operation regulations and procedures including, but not limited to requirements prescribed by the Auditor of State’s Office; the State Department of Education; local, state, and federal laws or regulations.

  • Assists in quality control of software applications.

The individual will provide fiscal services to local school districts, specifically on-site assistance at districts as an Interim Treasurer in the areas of accounting, payroll, and other applications using software such as State Software (Classic and Redesign), eFinance Plus and various other software packages that districts may use.  There would also be an expectation to provide in-house telephone support, make presentations, provide documentation and facilitate professional development opportunities for fiscal staff. This position will report directly to the Executive Director and work closely with both the State Software Development Team and the NWOCA Fiscal Staff.  A successful candidate must possess the following:

  • A valid State of Ohio School Treasurer License or show proof of ability to obtain one

  • Recent experience as a School Treasurer in the State of Ohio

  • Ability to work with a Board of Education and/or Governing Board to meet all Treasurer/Fiscal requirements for a school district

  • Experience with State Fiscal Software

  • Ability to present and/or facilitate ongoing professional development opportunities

  • Outstanding organizational skills

  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills

  • Outstanding technology literacy

  • Ability to travel within the six county area daily

Looking for individuals to handle field installations and maintenance of various computer/data communications equipment in a K-12 environment.  Positions are entry-level and full or part time.  Knowledge of workstation operating systems and cloud applications a plus.  The successful candidate must have good communication and organizational skills. 

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, maintenance and management of access control systems.  Provides remote assistance effectively.  Communicates and elevates technology requests to the appropriate staff.
