The Northwest Ohio ESC received a portion of the ImagiNET funding from Governor Voinovich's Office and created this teleconferencing studio which is housed at Four County Vocational School. The studio will be maintained and operated by the Northern Buckeye Education Council. We anticipate using this conference center to deliver instruction, to make remote connections with the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, and Northwest State Community College. It will also be available for businesses and area organizations on a pay for use basis. The studio will interface with the desktop videoconferencing units that will be used by the districts participating in the SchoolNet Telecommunity Project.

The Instructor station is in the front of the room and contains a desk, a stand for a computer monitor, jacks for laptop computers and a VCR camera, a laser disk player, a video tape player, a document camera, and a touch pad controller.

The touch pad gives the instructor remote control over all three cameras (instructor, student, and document) and the AV equipment housed underneath the instructor station. The cameras have the capability of following the pigment of the instructor's skin. Wherever the instructor moves in the room, the camera will follow.

In the back of the room are two monitors for the instructor's use. One monitor shows the studio and the other shows the remote site. The studio will have the capability of interacting with three other sites by using the State video switch in Columbus. Also, a video bridge has been purchased and will be installed by the end of January, 1998.
