Science needs explorers regardless of the location!
This home page is to assist teachers and parents in the never ending challenge of coaching, teaching, and encouraging their students or children to participate in local, district, regional, state, and international Science Fairs or Science Days.
Organization :
In Ohio, schools are expected to have their students participate in a local science fair
before they can show their project at the next in line fair. Ohio is divided into sixteen districts which hold their own district fairs and select students for the STATE SCIENCE DAY.
The NORTH DISTRICT SCIENCE DAY is in the extreme northwest corner of Ohio. All of the above contests are sponsored by the Junior Academy of the Ohio Academy of Science. Click here to see the email address.
The regional science fair is offically called the North West Ohio Science and Engineering Fair. This fair is usually held a week or two before the district science day. Two high school students from this fair will be selected to compete at the INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE & ENGINEERING FAIR.
