Newcomers Information
If you are new to Ohio you are going to need a new driver's license, new Ohio title,and Ohio license plates for your automobiles.

To get a driver's license, stop at the Williams County License Bureau, 1007 E. High St., Bryan, Ohio Phone # (419) 636-5516 and get a booklet of Ohio moter vehicle laws.

The Bureau will instruct you regaurding written test dates and avalibility of times. A driving test is usually waived for new residents who have valid out of state licenses.

If you own a vehicle you will need to have it inspectedat the License Bureau or at most new car dealerships. There is an inspection fee of $1.50.

Take an inspection form to the auto title office on the ground floor of the Williams County Courthouse in Bryan and obtain a new Ohio auto title.If you have a lien on your car your original title must be sent to the title office so that the lien can be recorded on the new title.

Once you have your Ohio title, take it to the License Bureau to get Ohio tags. A passenger car plate costs $32.25 per year in Williams County.

  • Renewals for auto tags can be handled via mail or at the county lisence agency.
  • Driver's licenses are renewable every five years at the License Branch.
  • You can get detailed information regarding licensing at the License Branch.
Voter Registration

You can register to vote in Ohio at the Auto License Branch in Bryan, the Edgerton Village Clerk's Office, at the Edgerton Public Library, or at the County Board of Elections office in the courthouse. Do not neglect this important detail. All of us have the right and the responsibility to vote.
