Uncle Toms Cabin
Harriet Beecher Stowe
| I enjoyed this book
a lot. The book was about a slave owner who had to give up his best
slave, Tom, due to some money he owed to a slave trader. He switches
traders a lot. Then one day, his old owner came to buy Tom back,
but it was to late. Tom's owner beat him so much that when his old
owner got there, he was dying. His old owner was talking to him and
he died. Then his old owner took him off and buried him.
The book had many genres. A couple off them were romance, horror, and realism. The main character is someone I can relate to because he doesn't do anything to hurt people. One time he was sent to whip a girl and he wouldn't do it. Sense he didn't do it, he got whipped. I would recommend this book for the older groups (16 on up). The reason why is because it was hard to understand. It jumped around from place to place. I would have someone read this book if they like to read interesting books. |
