Harry Potter
and the Goblet of Fire
J. K. Rowling
| Harry Potter is
an orphan that lives with his aunt, uncle, and cousin. He also is a wizard
that was cursed by Lord Voldemort (who killed his parents). This is Harry's
fourth year at school with his two best friends Hermione and Ron.
At the beginning of school they
are all told that the Tri-Wizard Tournament will be held at Hogwarts. The
champions from the three different schools will have to compete in three
challenges. The Goblet of Fire chooses the champions. Viktor Krum, Cedric
Diggory, and Fleur Delacour were chosen as champions. As everyone was getting
up to leave another name came out of the Goblet and it was Harry's.
The second task was more challenging. The golden egg gave a clue to the challenge. The champions had to swim to the bottom of the lake where the mer-people lived and save their most prized possessions. Harry had to save Ron. He got there first but nobody else started to come. He waited just in case. Viktor Krum and Cedric Diggory had come first, but Fleur Delacour never came so Harry saved her sister. When Harry saved Fleur's sister that made him get the most points in that challenge. In the third challenge the champions had to go through a huge maze. The maze had a lot of magical obstacles to get passed. Fleur Delacour had sent up red sparks that meant that she couldn't go on. Then a little later Harry saved Cedric from Viktor Krum and had him forfeit. When Cedric and Harry had both touched the trophy to tie, they were taken to an old cemetery. The trophy had been a portkey. To find out what happens in the end you'll have to read the book. This is a fantasy. I liked the book because it was easy to read and I never knew what was going to happen next. I admire Harry because he stuck up for what he believed and never let anyone take his self-confidence away. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in fantasies or to anyone with a wild imagination. |
