My book named Holes is about this one kid named Stanley Yelnats. He was
accused of stealing a pair of shoes from a homeless shelter.The were a
famouse baseball player's shoeshe donated to the homeless shelter that
he grew up in.Stanley heard a siren and when he heard that he started running
away, but then stanley found the cops and the cops started questioning
him about where he got the shoes from. Stanley didn't answer the police
officer. They ended up taking Stanley back to his house and they surched
Stanley's bedroom for things that could lead to the stealing of the shoes.They
took a picture of a poster that would take them to belive that Stanley
stole ther pair of shoes, and they took Staanley to jail. The next day
it was Stanley was up to see the judge, and the judge told Stanley that
he would have two chioces either to go to jail for a long amount of time
or to go to camp green lake for at least six months. Stanley told the judge
that he had never been toi camp before so then he chose to go to camp Green
Lake for the six months that he was told to do. The bus driver and the
guard were on there way to the camp, it was at least ten miles away from
the camp, Stanley started seeing holes everywhere that he looked around.
Shortly after they arrived to the camp, Stanley met the counselors, and the people that he would dig holes with. They all had there little nicknames that fit everone of there personalitys. Everyday they had to dig at least one hole, by themselves. There hole had to be asd wide as there shovel, and as deep as there shovel. Stanley did as he was suppose to do, but he got in a fight with a people. The really amazing thing about the book was that he got a kid named Zero to talk, and zero had never talked to anybody since he had beem there, not even the couselors that were going to help him get through the hard times that were going on with what he did to get him in to Camp Green Lake.Tords the end of the book a new kid comes to the camp and his nickname was Twitch because he stole a car and was twitching while he was driving the car.Stanley's dad makes a cure for foot odor like through the whole book, he had been trying to do. The book is really, really good and now I have watched the movie, and rreasd the book several times.The gender of this book is Science Fiction, so I really hope that you like science fiction book yourself. The last thing is that the age group on this book is about anine year to atleast a thirteen year old person that can read. This book is not hard to read or understand at all. |
