The Visual Communications Class was created to teach students how to use the computer for communicating ideas through the use of desk top publishing and web page design. These classes are for a semester. Students in this class learn how to use computer software for drawing, painting, graphing, and word processing. We also learn how to use a digital camera and how to edit graphics or images. We spend several weeks in class to learn HTML and Netscape Composer to develop web pages. Hands-on techniques are used to get the students proficient in using computer commands and programs. Here is a list of the various projects that were undertaken by members in the class:
- School Spirit Stickers and Locker Magnets
- Most Wanted Posters
- A Newspaper Page
- Business Cards
- Various documents using word processing
- Greeting Cards
- Web Pages

- I learned my way around the computer a lot better and now I know how to create my own web page.
- I could enjoy it, especially in the beginning. There was no pressure compared to my other classes.
- I really enjoyed this class. Not only was it a good refresher on my computer knowledge, but I learned some very useful things.
